My Role
As a Senior Product Designer at Givebutter, an industry-leading fundraising SaaS product, I played a crucial role in enhancing the fundraising experience and making fundraising tools easily accessible to all users. My primary responsibilities included working on various aspects of the Givebutter product, such as Raise, Payouts, Account Settings, Fundraising Pages, and the Sign In/Up experiences. During my tenure, we embarked on the implementation of a new design system, where I contributed to developing new patterns based on user needs and optimizing existing patterns to improve the overall user experience.
One of my major contributions was in the area of the Admin Dashboard, where I focused on enhancing the user interface and user experience. Specifically, I worked on features such as Registration & Team Fundraising and Auctions under the Raise section. In the Payouts section, I contributed to the design and user journey of connecting user accounts, open fiscal sponsorship, and the overall payout process.
Additionally, I played a vital role in improving the Account Settings section by working on sub-features like About, Org Profile, Branding, Landing Page, and Account Verification. I also delved into Settings, General, Test to donate, Thank you message, Funds, My Notifications, Integrations, including Elements, 3rd Party, and API. Moreover, I worked on managing user accounts and import history for better user control.
Furthermore, I optimized the Donation User Flow for Fundraising Pages, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience for users who wished to donate. Lastly, I contributed to enhancing the Sign In/Up experiences, refining the design and functionality of the Sign In and Sign Up processes.
Throughout these projects, I actively collaborated with cross-functional teams, including the design director, product manager, marketing, and development teams, to align on goals, gather insights, and drive the product's success. By combining user-centered design principles, strategic thinking, and attention to detail, I contributed to the growth and success of Givebutter's fundraising SaaS product.

Sign In & Sign Up
As one of my first feature designs at GB, I had the pleasure f redesigning the sign-in sign-up experience. The primary goal was to simplify and reduce friction for users creating new accounts. Another primary aspect of this feature experience was to reduce and eliminate the number of duplicate accounts created by users.
While sketching out concepts for this feature I worked with marketing and integrated some space for marking to highlight key product offerings such as the 100% free product platform and key features built into the Raise, Track, and Engage section of the product dashboard.
My approach was to establish a reduced series of steps that would indicate progress to the user as they moved through the signup flow. track progress through the sign-up. By adopting a 50/50 split of the screen I was able to make room for marketing material on one side and a stepped user flow on the other. The stepped user flow broke the user flow into 3 key sections.
First, we wanted to determine the type of organization the user was creating an account for. By determining the account type in the first step we could greatly reduce the number of duplicate accounts that have been historically created by users.
After identifying the account type and collecting the required information the user is transitioned into the Personal step after pressing continue.
Once the user finishes entering their personal info they continue to add a credit card through the Strip integration in the final step.
Registration Fundraising
The Registration Fundraising feature was designed for users who want to run fundraising campaigns without charging their donors a ticket fee. Registration Fundraising enables Campaign Managers to establish a required donation when a new member signs up for a team. during user sign-up for campaigns. CMs also have the ability to require the purchase of swag during sign-up.
In addition to the admin dashboard screens for setting up the Registration fundraising preferences, I redesign the new team member sign-up flow as well as the existing team member sign-up flow to incorporate Registration Fundraising selectors, inputs, and screen to collect credit card info via the Stripe integration.
Account Settings
The most innovative aspect of the Account setting redesign was the Elements Feature. Elements Allow's Non Profits to integrate customizable Donation Buttons, Bubbles, and Forms on their organization's website. Users complete a simple three-step process and the element of choice automagically appears on their homepage. These buttons and forms integrate with the Givebutter backend to pull in and process all of the donations that occur on the organization's website. Anyone visiting the organization's parent site instantly becomes a potential donor. This integration is seamless and produces minimal friction for the user.
In addition to Elements, I was responsible for rearchitecting the UX and UI for all of the account settings tabs. My approach to each section was to map out the existing experience, Highlight areas of improvement, and produce a few iterations to review with the product and marketing team.
When we agreed on concepts I created new design patterns to add to the design system for use in the remainder of the product. When the patterns were finished I began building high-fidelity versions of the UI design. In addition to concept iterations and pattern designs, I was responsible for documenting the user flows and interaction design for each section before the final handoff to development.
As a Sr. Product Designer at GiveButter, I was also responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining accessible design patterns for the Slice Design System. Below are some examples of design patterns we designed and used in various areas of the Givebutter product.

The End
The progress our team made overhauling the design system and integrating new design patterns into redesigned product pages in addition to the development and deployment of new features was immense for a year-long engagement. We accomplished a lot in a short amount of time. The overall User Experience and UI design have been significantly improved and we have successfully reduced a lot of the friction reported to our customer success crew from our users.
